Licks!
-The Unprecedented Music Association-
This project is a promotional visual design created for Licks! a concert presented in December 2025 by UMA as the second in a series exploring the interaction between music and the five senses. The concert focused on the fusion of jazz music and taste, featuring two local jazz-fusion bands alongside a tasting menu designed to correspond with the musical performance, developed by a member of the organization who experiences synesthesia between sound and taste.
Rather than representing a conventional jazz performance setting, the design aims to visualize the sensory overlap between sound and taste. The visual language combines Art Deco and Bauhaus influences to reflect the fusion nature of the music, using bold color choices to echo both the intensity of the musical performance and the richness of the tasting experience.
Overall, the design communicates not only the multisensory concept of the event itself, but also the broader mission of UMA—to present innovative, boundary-crossing contemporary music experiences.
